It’s summer, 03:26 AM, the alarm clock rings. Completely exhausted, I go to the bathroom and get ready for the hopeful next encounter. For several weeks now, I’ve been observing the same spot. It’s a wooded area near my home. The roebuck emerges from the same patch of forest onto the meadow at regular intervals. Today I’ll go try my luck, I need to be ready to go to fire my camera minimum an hour before sunrise.

Engaging in wildlife photography is a thrilling and fulfilling activity. However, photographing wild animals in their natural environments necessitates resilience, patience, and a deep understanding of their habitats and natural behaviors. The level of success in wildlife photography can vary greatly, contingent upon factors such as the time of year, food accessibility, terrain, and the animal’s comfort around humans. On occasion, I may experience impressive encounters with wildlife, whereas other times I may endure long periods of waiting without any desired outcome.

Utilizing long telephoto lenses and binoculars allows me to maintain a safe distance while still capturing stunning close-up shots. It is important to remember that the welfare of the subject should never be compromised for the sake of a photograph.

Avoidance of Baiting and Feeding:

One controversial aspect of wildlife photography is the practice of baiting or feeding animals to attract them. This can disrupt their natural feeding patterns, create dependency, and expose them to potential dangers.
